Wii-U To Utilize "Enclosed IC-Based Game Delivery System"

Nintendo has changed strategy on the Wii-U and is now saying that they will be using a silicon-chip-based physical media system to deliver games to customers. Nintendo engineers confirmed that the memory chips will be encased in a high-grade plastic protective enclosure which will be inserted into the system, much like a larger SD card. Nintendo said they are excited to release this technology to consumers and that they have spent more than twenty-five years perfecting this technology for just such a system.
